BIRTHS
John Greenlee born in Ireland and settled in Virginia.
James Greenlee, son of John Greenlee, settled in Virginia on the Potomac
River in 1775. He married Phoebe Mays, Sept. 19, 1819, died Feb. 22,
1853.
James Greenlee was a Missionary Baptist Preacher who lived in Grainger
County.
BIRTHS
William A. Greenlee, son of James and Phoebe was born Sept. 8, 1829,
near Rutledge, Grainger County, TN.
Herbert Cooper was born in Chatham County, NC, on March 1804, and died
Dec. 31, 1879 in East Tennessee.
Pharba Brewer was born in Chattam (sic) Co., NC, March 1811, and died
Feb. 12, 1899, in Hamblen Co., East Tennessee.
MARRIAGES
Herbert Cooper and Pharba Brewer were married in 1831 in Chattam (sic)
Co., NC.
Thomas J. Cooper and Lanemia Adaline Witt, daughter of W. C. Witt of
Witts Foundry, Hamblen County, were married Feb. 13, 1889, by J. B. Bundren.
Thomas J. Cooper and Alice Greenlee were married at the home of the Bride's
mother, Mrs. Mary Greenlee, July 5, 1899, by Rev. J. L. Dance, of New
Market, TN
