John M. Meek and Bettie J. McMillan were married Sept 21, A.D. 1859
John M. Meek and Willie L. Pope of Spring Hill, TN, were married Oct. 20, A. D., 1887
Alexander Kennedy Meek and Fannie V. Raymond were married in Washington City, DC, on the 31st of Aug A.D. 1887
He is the oldest living in was (sic) the first of our children married. J. M. M.
Mary Elizabeth Meek was married to Eugene Holtsinger on the 14th day of July 1892
John Lamar Meek and Mary Miller Flemming were married in Orlando, FL, Dec. 24, 1896
Gaines Monroe Meek and Cora Backett were married in West Chester, O. Mch. 11, (sic)
Mary Agnes Meek and Charles Frederic Clayton were married at Strawberry Plains, TN, April 26, 1913
Bertha Cowan Meek and Joseph Brooks Rogers were married at Knoxville, TN, June 12, 1919
Anna Belle Meek and Frederic Forde Hansell, Jr, were married May 3, 1921, in New Orleans, LA.

John M. Meek died at 8:39 PM on March 3, 1904
Bettie J. Meek, wife of John M. Meek, died on the 10th day of August at 12:23 PM A. D. 1886 Age 47 years & one month and 21 days
Willis L. Meek, 2nd wife of John M. Meek, was born June 30, A. D., 1863 and departed this life on the 21st day of December 1902 Age 39 years & 5 months & 21 days at 12 P.M. on the sabbath. She was with God.
