of James C. Hale as soldier in the Federal Army
To All To Whom It May Concern:
Know ye, that James C. Hale, a private of Captain David Caldwell, Company
(B) 9th Regiment Tennessee Calvary Volunteers, who was enrolled on the
Eleventh Day of August One thousand eight hundred and sixty-three to
serve three years or during the war is hereby Discharged from service
of the United States, this the Eleventh Day of Sept. 1865 at Knoxville,
TN. By reason of Par U. S D Ma 48 W. G. 2 rs. Dept. Tenn. Aug. 22, 1865.
No objection to his being reenlisted is known to exist. Said James C.
Hale was born in Washington Co. in the State of Tennessee is eighteen
years of age, five feet, ten inches high, fair complexion, blue eyes,
light hair and by occupation when employed, a farmer.
Given at Knoxville, Tenn, this Eleventh day of Sept. 1865

To All To Whom It May Concern:
Know ye, That George W. Shrader a private
in Captain James B. Sharp Company (F) with Regiment of Tenn. Car. (sic)
Volunteers who was enrolled on
the thirteenth day of Sept. one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three
to serve three years or during the war is hereby discharged from the
service of the United States this the eleventh day of Sept. 1865 of Ban.
SO 48. Department Tenn. dated Aug. 22, 1865. No objection to his being
re-enlisted is known to exist. Said George W. Shrader was born in Coal
Co. in the State of Missouria (sic) is twenty-one years of age, five
feet, ten inches high, dark complexion, blue eyes, dark hair, and by
occupation when employed, a farmer.
