Trust Sale – by virtue of a deed of Trust to me James A Caldwell, to secure the payment of a certain sum of money due to Lewis McDaniel, I will sell at my store in New Market, on the eighth day of February, next, all the right and title that the said Caldwell has to a certain tract of land, lying and being in the county of Jefferson in part, the balance in Sevier county, on the waters of Tuckahoe Creek, it being the same tract on which said Caldwell now lives, containing three hundred and ninety five acres, more or less. Also at the same time and place, by virtue of a Deed of Trust executed to me by C M Goodlin, for the benefit of Lewis McDaniel, I will sell a house and lot, known in the plan of said town as No. 23, containing one-half acre, it being the same recently occupied by Lewis Province. Said Trust Deeds have been proven and registered in the Register’s Office of Jefferson County, State of Tennessee and reference thereto will show fully the butts and bounds of said land and lot. Having received a written notice from said McDaniel, I will sell the above named tracts of land for cash and make such title as by said Deeds of Trust is in me vested. W H Moffett, Jan. 3, 1844
