Sheriff Sale – By virtue of a writ of venditioni exponas, issued from the Circuit Court of Jefferson County and to me directed, I will sell for cash at the Courthouse door in Dandridge on Monday the 15th day of April next, all the right, title, interest and claim that John Brown has of, in and to an undivided tract of land – containing one hundred and forty-four acres, more or less, lying in Jefferson County in District No. 13, adjoining the lands with Augustus Rice, John Mansfield and others. Levied on to satisfy a judgment and costs that George M Lay, for the use of William Ford, recovered against said Brown, before Edward Riggs, Esq. B F Newman, Sheriff Jefferson County Feb. 27, 1844
