Mrs. Gallion was the third child and second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. A Fain, being born October 10, 1859 at Forest Hill the well known residence of Mr. Fain at Dandridge and fell asleep in Jesus after many weeks of trying illness at the home of her husband, Dr. Thos W. Gallion, in the town of her birth at 6 o'clock a.m. Wednesday September 5, 1894, at the early age of 34 years.

She made a profession of her faith in Christ in 1875 and united with the Dandridge Presbyterian Church and thenceforth lived in the enjoyment of that consolation and peace which the Master gives to those who are his followers [portion not transcribed].

On the 26th of March, 1889, she was happily united in marriage with Dr. Thomas W. Gallion and though scarcely more than five years of wedded life was theirs, it was a happy one because "she always made home happy." To Dr. and Mrs. Gallion were born three children, the eldest of whom only a boy of four, is left to know in after years how great has been his loss, the two younger ones living only a short while. . . [remainder not transcribed]
