Mrs. Samuel I Newman, aged 84, died Friday at 11 o'clock a.m. at her home one mile southeast of Mossy Creek. She was the mother of Messrs. Emmett and Isham Newman of that place, Mr. Thomas H. Newman of Talbotts, Mrs. Mollie Lea, of Rogersville, Mrs. Porter Buckner, of Union County and Mrs. Mac Gray of Abingdon, Va. all of whom were in attendance at her bedside.
