Relatives in this city received the sad intelligence, that Mrs. Thornburg, wife of Maj. Russ Thornburg, of New Market, died yesterday morning at 7 o'clock. The lady was widely known in Knoxville.

The funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. today at New Market.
