Research Assistance

Though born in Middle Tennessee, Bettie Jo Harrison adopted Jefferson County as her new home when she married Rev. Don Moore, a native of the Kansas Community. Bettie Jo gave tirelessly to support her husband's ministry for nearly 60 years, and she was devoted to her family and friends. Somewhere, she found boundless energy to devote to preserving not only her own and her husband's heritage, but the history of our county. Bettie Jo will be missed by innumerable researchers. It was an honor to call her my friend and mentor. -- Billie
