Transcription: May 1937

Robert H. Hynds, son of George H. Hynds and Sarah, his wife, was born April 6, 1802.

Mary Jane Moore Hynds, daughter of Dr. William Moore and Cassandra his wife, was born Dec. 4, 1810.

Ann B. Swan, daughter of John Swan, and Lucy his wife was born Dec. 8, 1819, at Alderton Northampton Shire England.

Robert H. Hynds and Mary Jane Moore were married on Tuesday evening, July 4, 1826, by the Rev. John McCampbell, Minister of the Presbyterian Church.

Robert H. Hynds and Ann B. Swan were married Nov. 5, 1851, by the Rev. James Atkins.

Ann B. Swan Hynds, 2nd wife of Judge Robert H. Hynds, died in Dandridge, TN, of La Gripe and heart failure at the home of her son, Alexander Hynds, on Monday morning, Feb. 2, 1892, at 10 o'clock, aged 72 yrs 1 mo 24 das. "Her last prayers were for her children and her 1000 pupils." - "He giveth his Beloved Sleep."

William Moore Hynds, son of Robert H. Hynds and Mary Moore Hynds, his 1st wife, was born Thursday morning, July 19, 1827.

Sarah Cassandra Hynds, daughter of Robert H. Hynds and Mary Jane, his 1st wife, was born on Saturday mornng, Sept. 26th, 1829, and died at Wortham, TX, Oct. 31, 1900 Aged 71 yrs 1 mos. 5 das.

George Henry Hynds, son of Robert H. Hynds and Mary Jane his wife, was born on Sunday evening, April 1, 1832, and died in Atlanta, GA, his home for many years, after a long illness, on May 17, 1903 Aged 71 yrs 1 Mo 16 Das. Survived by a Widow and 3 sons, the youngest, Dr. Robet W., dying in Atlanta on Aug. 18, 1905, unmarried and aged 26 Years.

Joseph Hamilton Hynds, sonof Robert H. Hynds and wife Mary Jane, was born on Wednesday morning, June 25, 1834.

Samuel Houston Hynds, son of Robert H. Hynds and wife Mary Jane, was born on Saturday morning April 8, 1837. Died July 3, 1906, at the home of D. J. Hynds in Texas, aged 79 Years.

Martha Jane Hynds, daughter of Robert H. Hynds and Mary Jane his wife, was born on Monday evening Feb. 17, 1840.

Robert Henry Hynds, son of Robert H. Hynds and Mary Jane his wife, was born on Saturday evening, Nov. 26, 1842.

David Jones Hynds, son of Robert H. Hynds and Mary Jane Moore his wife, was born on Thursday morning, July 25, 1844.

John Moore Hynds, son of Robet H. Hynds and wife Mary Jane, was born on Thursday morning, Aug. 20, 1846.

Benjamine David Hynds, son of Robert H. Hynds and wife Mary Jane was born on Sunday evening Jan. 21, 1849.

Margaret Jane Hynds, daughter of Robert H. Hynds and Mary Jane his wife, died on Wednesday evening a few minutes past 8 o'clock, May 31, 1843, age 3 Yrs. 3 Mo. 14 das.

William Moore Hynds, son of Robert H. Hynds and Mary Jane his wife, died at 4 o'clock on Saturday, Oct. 7, 1843, Age 16 years 2 mos. 18 days.

Joseph Hamilton Hynds, son of Robert H. Hynds and Mary Jane his wife, died at the residence of Mr. Samuel Finchum 8 miles from Dandridge, on Wednesday at 1 AM, March 14, 1883, Aged 48 Yrs. 8 Mos. 19 das.

Mary Jane Hynds, wife of Robert H. Hynds, died at 1/2 past 10 o'clock on Tuesday morning, Nov. 19, 1850, aged 39 yrs. 11 Mos. 15 Das.

Thomas Curtis Hynds, son of Robert H. Hynds and Ann B. his 2nd wife, was born on Thursday Aug. 12, 1852, and died on Friday, Sept. 10, 1852.

Alexander Hynds, son of Robert H. Hynds and Ann B. his wife, died at his residence in Dandridge on Aug. 11, 1916 Aged 63 Years.

Robert H. Hynds, Sr, died at Mr. Henderson's residence in Greene County, at half-past 12 o'clock, Wed. Morning July 16, 1856, Aged 54 Yrs, 3 Mos. 10 Das.

John Moore Hynds, son of Robert H. Hynds and Mary Jane his wife, was slain at the battle of Piedmont, VA, June 5, 1864, "While fighting in the lines of the Confederacy."

Benjamine David Hynds, son of Robert H. Hynds and Mary Jane, died on May 7, 1891, at Goshen, Henderson Co, TX, aged 42 Yrs 3 Mos 16 Das.

Robert Henry Hynds, died at Greeneville, TX, Friday, May 31, 1912, after a long illness, aged 69 Yrs. 6 Mos. 5 das. Left 3 sons and 3 daughters all of whom are married.

Alexander Hynds and Ann Duncan were married May 1, 1894, and to this Union was born the following children: Elizabeth, Katherine, Florence, Ellen, Alberta, all living except Alberta, who died July 2, 1917.
