The Jefferson County Historical Society's annual picnic will be held July 21, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Just bring a pot-luck dish to share. Guest speaker will be Jeff Wells, Chief Ranger at Fort Loudoun State Park. The topic is "Fort Loudoun -- Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow". Location is the covered pavilion at the Douglas Dam Overlook.
