Died, near New Market, Jefferson county, Tennessee, on the morning of the 2nd, inst., Mr. Daniel Nelson, in the 47th year of his age, having been born in June, 1800. He was a son of Mr. Berryman Nelson, a patriot of the Revolution and the father of Mr. Anson Nelson of this city.

The deceased was for many years a member of the Baptist Church and died a most triumphant death, finding no trouble in giving himself up at the demand of the Almighty. He was a man who had passed through most of the toils and hardships of life and at last fell a victim to that too often successful conqueror, consumption. He had all those kind attentions from neighbors and friends, in his illness which so much cheer the spirit and gratify the heart of the consumptive.

And these labors of love, thus exhibited, to him from Christians of his own and other denominations, will not be forgotten by his surviving family. God in making up his jewels, will richly repay them for their acts of mercy. Mr. N. has left a wife and several children to mourn their loss.
