Died last night at 8:35, J. S. Hitch at the residence of his brother, C. C. Hitch, 2444 Woodbine Avenue. The remains will be shipped to New Market, Thursday morning.
Five years ago this young man, the son of Capt. John Hitch, of the First Tennessee Infantry, came to this city and has since been engaged in several business pursuits, having been a member of the firm of Hitch & Davis, dealers in sand and lime. But he has been snatched away at the age of 27 years by that divine power which sways the universe.
