James Chamblis having been arrested by the sheriff for having committed an assault and battery within the verge of this court on the body of George Leeth and he being brought into court by the sheriff and the Court having heard said proof as to the nature of the offence the said James Chamblis is ordered into the custody of the sheriff until he gives security for his personal appearance from day to day during this term to answer said charge.
