Captain Morrows (?) Company and Pennsylvania line Second Battallion (sic) and to the best of his recollection he made his original declaration in the month of May or June, 1818, and that he has received a pension from the United States semiannually of eight dollars per month from the tenth day of June, 1818, to the 11th March, 1820, on the certificate of J. C. Calhoun, Secretary at War No. 5280, dated the 12th Day of January, 1819, and that he has received a pension on no other certificate, and I do solemly swear that I was a resident citizen of the United States on the 18th of March 1818, and that I have not since that time, by gift, sale, or in any manner disposed of my property or any part thereof, with intent thereby so to diminish it, as to bring myself within the provisions of an act of Congress, entitled an act to provide for certain persons engaged in the land and naval service of the United States in the Revolutionary War ___ on the 18th day of March, 1818, and that I have not, nor has any person in trust for me any property or securities, contracts, or debts due to me nor have I any income other than what is contained on the schedule hereto contained and by me subscribed.

Schedule of property

25 acres of land worth $30, 1 mare worth $30, 1 more and colt worth $30, and one old cow now sick worth $3, one ditto lame and old worth $5,

One ditto worth 9 ?, two calves worth $3, and two year old bull worth $7, 2 notes of hand one for $13 and one for $5. (Signed) Patrick Givens (his mark)

The declarent further states that he is by occupation a farmer and entirely unable to pursue it. He has a wife and seven children now residing with him. To wit, his wife, Margaret, upwards of fifty years of age, his oldest Daughter Margaret, 23 years of age, his second Daughter Catharine 21 years of age, his third daughter Nelly, 18 years of age, his fourth Daughter, Nancy, 16 years of age, his eldest son Charles 12 years of age, his second son Henry 7 (could also be a 9) years of age, his fifth Daughter Barbaray 5 years of age, all healthy and capable to perform such labor as person of the above description usually are.

It is therefore considered by the court that the amount in value of the property contained in said schedule is one hundred and thirty-five dollars.
