Death of David H. Cooper PDF Print E-mail

Mossy Creek – The funeral services of young David H. Cooper, whose neck was broken by the terrible fall from a scaffold on Friday, occurred at noon on Saturday at the Baptist Church and the remains of the unfortunate man were interred in the cemetery of that church.

As reported at the time of the accident, Mr. Cooper had united with the order of the Golden Cross, but it transpires he had been duly elected and notified, but on the evening appointed for his initiation into the lodge, he did not appear and the policy was never issued.

Mr. Lindsay Cooper, father of the dead man, who was also severely injured, is still in a precarious condition though it is thought he will ultimately recover.
