Death of Ed Pressley PDF Print E-mail

Mossy Creek, Oct. 18 – Ed Pressley and an unknown companion were drowned in the French Broad River at Taylor's bend, five miles below Leadvale on Monday. The river had overflowed its banks. A fierce breeze of wind sprung up and overturned the boat and both men were drowned before assistance could reach them.
