Mossy Creek – Miss Lucy Bryan, the accomplished daughter of Mrs. Rebecca Bryan, living near town, died Sunday afternoon of typhoid fever. She had been sick since the 4th of July last, having taken sick at Fountain City while attending a picnic. She was buried at the old Brazelton burying grounds, two miles south of town. The family has the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. Source: The Knoxville Sentinel, Wednesday, August 16, 1893 Transcribed by Robert McGinnis |
