New Market – Mr. John L. Brown, died at his home at this place Monday and his earthly remains were laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery yesterday. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H C Neal of Strawberry Plains and Rev. J S Eakin of New Market. Mr. Brown was in his seventy-sixth year of life and was the oldest inhabitant of New Market.
