Yesterday morning at 8:30 o'clock, the three-year old son of Mr. S. E. Witt, who lives at 1215 Bright Street, died of measles. At ten minutes past twelve, Mrs. Witt the child’s mother also died.

Of the three remaining children, one has about recovered, while two others are dangerously ill. Those who visited the family yesterday said it was the saddest sight they had ever seen. Mr. Witt has only one arm and has an interest in an huckster’s stand in the market house.

The two bodies will be shipped this morning to New Market and will be buried near that place tomorrow in the family burying ground.
