J. A. Malcolm, a highly respected citizen of Jefferson County, died at his residence at Talbott Station at 9:30 this morning and will be buried at Mount Pleasant burying ground, two miles south of that place at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. He was postmaster of that place during Harrison's administration and has since been a member of the firm of Franklin and Malcolm, dealers in general merchandise, produce and live stock. He was a single man about 35 years of age. We extend our kindest sympathies to his aged father and brothers and sisters who are left to mourn his loss.
