It's almost incredible: fourteen years!  We couldn't have made it this far without the spectacular support of all the visitors, transcriptionists, and others who have helped us meet our goal of providing the best, free, on-line genealogy and local history resource for Jefferson County, Tennessee.

The Jefferson County TNGenWeb site went "live" in the first week of July, 1996. Since that time, thousands of genealogists and historians have stopped by to gather information about their families and the communities.

Many of them left information for other researchers. If you have transcribed data to share, please contact the Webmistress (e-mail from the Contact Us link in the menu). Additionally, check the "Help Wanted" page to see what transcription projects are on-going.
