Joseph A. McSpadden, aged nineteen years, died at 7 o'clock last evening at the home of his brother, L. T. McSpadden, on the Dandridge pike, East Knoxville.

The deceased was a student of the University of Tennessee at the last term when his health gave way followed by a fever and pulmonary complications. He seemed to be recovering however until last Saturday when he suddenly took a turn for the worst sinking rapidly until death came last evening.

The body will be taken today to Shady Grove, Jefferson County, for burial.
