Died at the residence of her uncle, Capt. Bradford, No. 125 Mabry Street, at 4 a.m. yesterday, Miss Mamie Helms, after an illness of about three years of typhoid fever.
Deceased was a well known young lady, being a teacher in the Mechanicsville school where she has won a reputation for her excellent work and kindness to her pupils.
Funeral services were held at the house yesterday afternoon and the remains will be taken today to White Pine, Jefferson county, for interment. The teachers in the Mechanicsville school and many others will accompany the remains to their final resting place.
